An upcoming workshop for orthokeratologists will provide training on the Orthotool™ software by its co-developer, Doctor Edward Chow.

North American orthokeratologists will receive expert training on contact lens design at the Orthokeratology Academy of America (OAA) meeting this October. Attendees will gain practical experience using the Orthotool software under the guidance of Doctor Edward Chow, who co-developed the software.

For many participants the workshop will provide an introduction to the science of custom-designing their own spherical, aspherical, toric, reverse geometry, keratoconus and multifocal GP lenses. Practicing orthokeratologists will find the software gives them complete control over every aspect of contact lens design. Workshop participants will also have the opportunity to purchase the Orthotool software at a discounted rate. Workshop registration is now open at http://orthotool.com.

The “Vision by Design” OAA meeting is being held October 20-24 at the Marriott Oak Brook Hotel, Chicago. Three years running, it is the premier ortho-k conference devoted entirely to corneal reshaping. World-renowned experts in orthokeratology will be delivering presentations on the most current trends and technologies.

The Orthotool workshop with Dr. Edward Chow will be held on Thursday, October 21. Separate registration is required, and more information on the Orthotool contact lens design software is available at http://orthotool.com.
